The last MK1 built by John Suhr when he worked for Rudy Pensa in New York, with Suhr’s inscription on the back of the neck plate:

“Built for Rudy by John Suhr” and inscribed in the neck pocket “3/3/91 For Rudy by Suhr / Last one for sure ! California here I come, dude!"

These are photos of this guitar, displayed in Rudy's shop in New York, before he sold it in 2010.

Rudy used a photo of this guitar in his 1997 Pensa MK publicity folder. You will notice that Rudy carefully did not show the complete headstock of Mark Knopfler's MK1, which sports the revered Pensa-Suhr decal and not a Pensa one........
