Specially designed Seymour Duncan split-single coil pickups, in hum-canceling wiring with an extra push/pull tone knob for 7 pickup configurations. The two parts pickup are reversed mounted, so the one under the thickest strings boost some treble and the one under the thinnest strings boost some bass. Together the two parts are hum-canceling like a humbucker but, since there are not two coils under a string you keep the clear sound of a single coil. Clever, right ? !!!!
