Based on Keith Richards '52 Telecaster Blackguard nicknamed "Micawber"

Specifically commissioned by Fender for Keith Richards, there were only 100 of these "Micawber" Teles made for the 2005 NAMM show.

Fender put a Duncan Antiquity in the neck position, so it howls like a Les Paul but with the flick of a switch, you can summon that fabulous Tele twang.

Keith named his famous 1950s Fender Telecaster after , a memorable, optimistic character from Charles Dickens's novel, David Copperfield

Richards—an avid reader—chose the moniker in the 1980s simply because it was such an unusual and distinct name.

He explained that no one around him was named Micawber, meaning he could shout out for the guitar backstage or across a crowded stage and everyone would immediately know which instrument he meant!
